Autumn Fun

Autumn is here and we've had lots of fun exploring outdoors!

There's lots to see during Autumn and we have been enjoying learning about the changing seasons from Summer to Autumn.

This week we've been out and about in the school grounds on an autumn walk where we gathered leaves and conkers.

It is getting colder outside.

The conkers are hard. They got a prickly shell on the outside.

The leaves are going orange and red and brown. I like the autumn colours, they are very pretty.

We have been using our finds to create beautiful artwork. Inspired by the book "Leaf Man" by Lois Ehlert, we have made our own leaf friends for the Funnybones skeletons to scare!

We have been using the conkers to refine our motor skills by rolling conkers down the guttering! This was such great fun. We had races and also looked at whose conker went the furthest!

In maths we have used natural resources to create simple repeating patterns.
