Harvest Preparation!

This week we have been very busy preparing for our Harvest Celebration which is happening on Tuesday 16th October!

This week we have been very busy preparing for our Harvest Celebration which is happening on Tuesday 16th October.

Firstly, we decided that we wanted to create some fantastic art work inspired by conkers! We went outside and collected a large variety of conkers to use in our paintings. We decided to create some conker rolling paintings. We had a think about which colours would be best to use. The children decided to use autumnal colours such as red, orange, yellow and brown.

We have been learning all about Harvest and what happens during the Harvest period. As a class we have been very interested about how fruits and vegetables grow. We have been learning lots of facts. For example; Did you know that a pumpkin is actually a large fruit? These interesting facts have inspired us to create fruit and vegetable fact files which we will share in the Harvest assembly next week.
