Bishop Creighton Academy

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

On Wednesday the 6th of December our annual festivities  kicked off with a pantomime and Christmas lunch!

Yesterday Christmas officially arrived at Bishop Creighton Academy! To start our day we were lucky enough to have a visit from a pantomime group, they performed Robin Hood to the entire school! There were lots of jokes and audience participation, however perhaps the most enjoyable moment was when Robin Hood requested volunteers to join his group of Merry Men...

Mr Dean and Mr McNally were brilliant sports and joined in with a range of dances, because the Merry Men have to be brilliant dancers! The whole school played their part in helping Robin Hood and pointing out the ghost! What a super way to start the morning!

After our fun filled morning, we were hungry for our Christmas Dinner! Lots of children opted for school dinners on this special day, meaning the hall was filled with children and teachers enjoying their delicious lunch! We even had a few special visitors... Mr Norrie (the CEO of GAT) joined us for lunch, in addition to a very special turkey....

After a lovely lunch and a playground disco, it was back to the classroom to prepare for the Christmas Fayre! Year 6 created two games for their stall! Firstly, Rudolph's Magic Carrots! You had to find the magic carrot from the "snow". The next game was Where's Santa!? The aim of the game was to locate Santa on a world map, whoever gets the closest to his actual location wins the prize! We made posters to  display and explain rules and pricing and had great fun creating the "snow".

The Christmas Fayre was a huge success with lots of children and their families attending to join in with the celebrations! Take a look at our photo album to see the festive fun!
