Billy Bob Buttons, an award winning author, visited us this afternoon to share some top writing tips! He told us all about the books he's written, and then he gave us some useful tips and tricks to support us with our writing! 

 

 

1. There are three elements to a story: plot, setting and the characters! Make sure we think about all of these things in depth during the planning process before we write! 

 

2. Know your characters! Describe the interesting things and include little details. 

 

3. Never make the hero perfect! No one is perfect, the best characters are real. 

 

After delivering his top tips, Billy Bob Buttons spent time answering questions and telling us about his writing career.
