Bishop Creighton Academy

Book Week at BCA

This week, class 4MD have been spending their time celebrating book week and producing some fantastic writing!

This week has been World Book Week all across the globe and certainly inside the academy!

We've had lots of special treats and surpises, including a Where's Wally dress up & hunt, a visit from a Poet and an Author, book readings from reading role-models and more! We've been diving deep into exploring imaginitive worlds and spending our time getting lost in a good book.

The book that Mr. Dean chose for us to read was called Quest, and it is a book with no words. That dooesn't mean it's simple though - far from it! The story takes you through intricate, imaginitive lands on a quest to find five magical pencils. Anything drawn with these pencils can come to life!

Our task was to imagine we had our own magic pencils, and use our words to describe the fantasy lands we would visit. Some students came out with some incredibly descriptive pieces - keep an eye out for them on the wall on the next parents evening!
