Confident communications!

Today we have been sharing our passions with the class.
As part of our learning skills we have been finding out how to talk confidently about something we are interested in.
“Can I tell everyone about my dance lessons,” asked Mollie.
“I want to tell everyone football facts!” Shouted Taheem.
To talk confidently you must;
  • Speak loudly
  • Be brave (don’t show people that you are scared)
  • Look at your audience
We also learnt how to be a good audience.
You must always;
  • Make eye contact with the speaker
  • Be attentive
  • Sit sensibly
  • Give the speaker respect
First we used the computers to help us find facts.
Next we spent time created a poster to help us present our facts. We used colours to make it stand out.

We moved on to presenting to the class. It was scary at first but soon found our confidence.
It was great to be able to ask children questions about their passion.
“Did you learn any new facts while researching” enquired Alidzhan.
This activity was really exciting and we now can listen to our peers with respect.
