Express yourself!

We're all poets and we didn't even know it!

This week Wolves class concluded a super topic on Poetry by reading their own poems aloud. Our focus was to use expression, intonation and vary the volume of our voices appropriately throughout our poem to engage the eager listeners. With 29 other pupils on tenterhooks in anticipation, Wolves class sprung to life with their 'I wish' poems (See pictures here). Poems ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous as their imagination ran wild!

The quality of their reading was a culmination of all their hard work so far in Year 3. This has been boosted by the motivation of the school's new Accelerated Reader programme. Wolves class read over 600 books in the Autumn term. WOW!
