Bishop Creighton Academy

We are learning the Clarinet

This term we year 4 have stated learning the clarinet.

Year 4 have just had their third clarinet lesson and all are enjoying playing the instrument.

So far this term they have learnt how to join the pieces of the clarinet together,  attach the reed and hold it correctly.

This week they learnt how to read musical notes and clapped rhythms following the score. The first note has been learnt and they followed a piece of music.

The children have all worked really hard to produce a musical sound out of the clarinet, which is really difficult at first and are now making a melodious sound.

By the end of the term they should be ready to perform to the school.

Look at the photo album to see us playing the clarinet.
