After all this really hot weather this week we thought it would be a good idea to make a fresh fruit salad and enjoy eating it.

On Friday Koalas could be seen cutting, chopping, slicing and peeling a variety of fruit. They learnt alot about the fruits and gave some wonderful descriptions. After the practical activity the chidlren quickly settled down to writing the instructions so that year 1 could also make one. This gave them plenty of opportunity to use a command sentence, which they love as they start with an imperative verb which is also known as a bossy verb.
