In our maths this week we have been working hard on money.

We have learnt the values of coins and know how to make amounts up to £5.

We had a challenge to find as many differnet ways to make a set amount. The children worked in pairs for this and discussed the value  of the coins.

To end the week we had a toy shop and the children had to buy and pay for items from the shop. The children benefitted from the practical experiances and are keen to put them into prctice when they go shopping with their families.
