Bishop Creighton Academy

A mighty start to our year 1 Maths journey!

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here

Year 1 have settled in wonderfully to their new class!
During the past week and a half we have been learning all about numbers and place value. The class have been on number hunts, a 'teen number' trail and have also been able to play with the new maths resources in the outdoor area!
I am so proud of the effort and enthusiasm that is coming from the class.
During the next few weeks, the children will be using a new basic skills booklet, this is to help support their learning in class. This book is to be completed at home and returned to class for a mini-test.
Take a look at some of the wonderful learning that has taken place in year 1 the past week and a half.
Here are some website links to help support your children's early Maths skills.
Keep up the great work year 1!
Miss Ward.
