Always eat your greens!!

Alongside the story of Oliver's Vegetables we have been learning the importance of eating vegetables to keep ourselves healthy.

We listened to the story Oliver's Vegetables then used our senses to explore all of the vegetables mentioned in the story.

In literacy we wrote adjectives to describe the vegetables. In maths we have been using a potato in one side of a bucket balance then adding other objects one at a time to the other side to see if they are heavier or lighter than the potato. We have also been ordering objects from heaviest to lightest. Using magnifying glasses we carefully observed the vegetables and talked about what we could see before making observational drawings.

Outside we have been busy weeding our planters before sowing flower seeds, sunflowers, peas and beans.
