Measuring a Diplodocus

Do you know how long diplodocus was? We do!

Yesterday we all went out onto the playground to see how long a line 27 metres was. That's the same length as a real diplodocus!

We used metre sticks and carefully laid them along the ground and chalked a line. We were very surprised at how much space a diplodocus would need if they came to our school.

After we had drawn the line we all walked from one end of the diplodocus to the other. Even when we all stood on the line, the diplodocus was longer than a line of us!
