Year 4 Tri-Golf

Today, Year 4 were lucky enough to be invited to try something a little bit different. We all hopped on the coach to Stanground before arriving at our very first golf tournament!

Tri-Golf is a fun, energetic version of golf, specifically designed for primary children. We learned lots of new vocabulary and practiced lots of new skills. We learned about putting and how to control to ball over short distances, and we used wedges to hit the ball further into the distance.

There were a range of games for us to try with a very competitive points system in place! From tricky accuracy shots with more points for smaller targets, to a mini driving range where power was key, we found some budding golfers in our midst!

We had a great morning out, and would like to say a huge thank you to the staff and student ambassadors at Stanground who took time out of their busy day to make sure our first golfing experience was so enjoyable. And a special shout out to Alan the coach driver who I caught singing along to “The Wheels On The Bus”!
