Motivational Boxercise

To culminate our motivational Boxercise programme, our Mmotivational boxercise  group visited Vic’s Gym in Hampton, Peterborough on Wednesday, 13 December 2017.

A group of boys from Year 5 and 6 have been taking part in a Motivational Boxercise programme led by Mr Kennedy, Youth Dreams Project sports coach.

The programme aims to provide an outlet for young people to release stress and focus on something positive. The programme is not only supporting our boys to feeling fitter, and healthier; but is also boosting their  confidence and self-esteem. Sessions are also teaching self-control, respect and encouraging the boys to make positive life choices. Our Sports Playmakers have also been involved as positives role models within the sessions.

To culminate our motivational Boxercise programme, our Mmotivational boxercise  group visited Vic’s Gym in Hampton, Peterborough on Wednesday, 13 December 2017.

At the gym we were met by gym owner, Vic Imbriano and Wayne Stainsby who works with young people across in Peterborough as part of his YOS role.

The boys took part in a warm up, before engaging in a number of drills both on the bags and in the ring! Wayne complimented all the boys on their technique, control and stamina. The boys behaviour throughout the visit was impeccable! We can’t wait to visit the gym again.
