Odd Socks for Anti-Bullying Week

Year 3 embraced wearing odd socks today to raise awareness of Anti-Bullying week.

This week is Anti-bullying week and to raise awareness the whole school wore odd socks today to promote the theme 'All different, All equal.'

After an assembly focussing on the meaning of bullying and what we should do if we are being bullied, each class completed their own anti-bullying activities.

In year 3 we discussed how bullying is when someone does something on purpose continuously over a period of time. We thought more about the theme and discussed how even though we like different things we are all equal.

Every child was given a jigsaw piece and they were told that piece represented them. The children had to decorate the piece with all things about themselves that made them unique. Once each child had decorated their jigsaw piece we joined all the pieces together. This showed that altogether we can help each other and we are equal.

The children were full of enthusiasm and had lots of great ideas. We pledged to try and compliment each other more and be kind to one another.
