It's a magical time of the year!
What a magical time of the year in our academy!
Reception, Year 1 & 2 put on two fabulous productions! Reception presented 'It's a Baby!' and Year 1 & 2 'Penguin Pete'.
Children had a fantastic time attending “Jack and the Beanstalk” at the Key Theatre. Many children commented how much they enjoyed it! This visit was paid for by funds raised from events in school during the year. We hope to plan further such visits in the coming year. May we take this opportunity to thank all parents, carers and families for supporting all Christmas events held in our academy. The collections at our KS1 Productions raised £112.54.
The Christmas Fair, also well attended, raised £223.56.
We are particularly proud of a group of sixteen Year 5/6 pupils who represented the academy at Peterborough Cathedral in a Christmas Carol Concert organised by Thomas Deacon Academy. This was a wonderful experience for all involved.
The whole school indulged in a delicious Christmas lunch. A big thank you to our lunchtime team and their Year 6 waiters and waitresses!
Our Key Stage Two Carol concert was brilliant. Well done to all those who took part! Held by candle light and just magical!
We enjoyed a super Christmas Story Assembly from our friends at Kingsgate Church. We were treated to a special solo performance of Silent Night from our very own Mrs Dewdney!
The term ended with a bang, with a final Carol Concert and Christmas jumper day to raise funds for Lillies Miracles - supporting a charity in our own community, reminding us all Christmas is a time for thinking of others. Merry Christmas everyone!
