Armistice Service and Juice with the Mayor!

Sea Turtle Class were invited to attend the Armistice Service outside Peterborough Town Hall!
Year 5 were invited to attend the annual Armistice Service held outside Peterborough Town Hall. After spending last term learning about WW1 we were looking forward to seeing some real war veterans and watching the parade. We stood with hundreds of other people, we saw the beautiful flags flying high and the shiny medals on soldier's jackets. After the 2 minutes silence we were invited into the Town hall and had juice with the Mayor and Mayoress! We even talked to a war veteran whot told us about his war experience. We had a brilliant morning and the children were incredibly respectful! Well done Sea Turtles!
