Flowers

We have been doing observational drawings of flowers.

This week we have been planting seeds in our garden in the hope that we will have beautiful flowers to enjoy for both us and the local wildlife.

Today we have been using pastels and pencil crayons to make observational drawings of bunches of chrysanthemums in a vase. The children took their time to look closely at the different parts of the flowers that they could see and also the colours of each part to ensure their drawings were a true representation of what they could see.

The children have amazed us with their drawings. Here are some examples in a short movie.
