Dahl Day Celebrations...

On the 13th of September, we celebrated Roald Dahl day as a whole school.

On the 13th of September, we celebrated Roald Dahl day as a whole school. We did this by focusing some of our learning on the wonderful characters created by Roald Dahl. In Year 4, we used Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as our inspiration.

We started the day by thinking of some exciting adjectives to describe some of Roald Dahl's characters. This included adjectives like humongous and wise! We even applied our knowledge of adjectives by writing our own sentences about Roald Dahl’s characters.

In the afternoon, we designed a chocolate bar like the ones from Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. First, we learnt about some of the creations that were made in the factory such as the chocolate river. This inspired us to create our own weird and wonderful designs which included a rainbow chocolate bar and an everlasting chocolate bar! We had an exciting time doing this and we learnt a lot about Roald Dahl's weird and wonderful creations!
