On Thursday the 21st of April a group of pupils selected from Year 3 and 4 attended a Youth Dreams Project Multi-skills sports event at St John Fisher School. They competed against three other school in a range of events, including; Speed Bounce, Standing Jump, Javelin, Accuracy Throw, Sprint, and a Long Distance Run. We all walked to St John Fisher (1.2 miles!) so we were all warmed up by the time we arrived. When we entered the huge sports hall we were the first school there, so we had a little bit of time to practice some of the events! When all of the other competing schools had arrived, the children were split into groups and each child attempted each event. The purple PE kits looked incredibly smart and stood out from the crowd! All the children tried their best, and finished second overall! Here are some of the indivudual results:

Awat and Harry - QUICKEST TIME ON THE SPRINT - 8 SECONDS

Kosta - 1 MIN 46 LONG DISTANCE RUN

Lewis - 1 MIN 19 LONG DISTANCE RUN

Hannah - 1 MIN 28 LONG DISTANCE RUN

Awat - 2ND IN STANDING JUMP OVERALL

Harry - 1ST IN HIS GROUP FOR SPEED BOUNCE

Daniela -  1ST IN ACCURACY THROWN IN HER GROUP

Before the results were revealed the schools came togother to play Bench Ball, BCA won both of their games, and worked extremely well together! The team came second overall and they were awarded very special medals! Congratulations Year 3 and 4! I am really proud of the effort, behaviour and team work I witnessed! Well done to you all!
