Harvest festival celebrations!

Year 5RC wrote and recited their own fantastic poems!

On Thursday 12th October we took part in the School Harvest festival. Year 5RC wrote their own harvest poems. We spent some quality time speaking about what harvest is. The children researched harvest, as part of their extra home learning. We viewed photos of harvest and spent time in our class to come up with some fabulous ideas!

A selection of around 11 children from our class volunteered to read their poems in the Harvest Assembly. They performed fantastically, with clear voices and great big smiles on their faces! All the children spoke about what they were thankful for. We all enjoyed this experience and Year 5RC are grateful for all parents and carers in assisting their children in writing their very own poems! What an amazing experience it was!
