Year 6 have been preparing for and taking part in a class debate today. The debate was entitled, "Should themeparks and funfairs be allowed to use animals as part of the entertainment?" The children decided if they were for or against the proposal before volunteers debated their arguments in front of the class. In addition to having to come up with strong arguments and counter-arguments to support our ideas we also discovered the importance of having confident speaking skills and respectful listening qualities. Well done , year 6 - it was wonderful to hear you sound so passionate and interested in this subject!.
