Painting Poppies!
This week in Theme, we researched why the Poppy is a signifcant symbol for remembering wars and soldiers. We then used it as a source of inspiration to create some art.
This week in Theme, we researched why the Poppy is a signifcant symbol for remembering wars and soldiers. We then used it as a source of inspiration to create some art.
We watched some videos of artists paint poppies to provide us with some tips and ideas. Before painting, we practiced mixing colours on a strip of paper. When painting our poppies we used different brush techniques to create different effects. The paintings turned out beautiful, I was so impressed with the effort and concentration that went into these pieces of art work, well done Sea Turtles, what fantastic artists you all are!
