Bishop Creighton Academy

National Poetry Day!

On Thursday, Wolves class headed out to Peterborough library to enjoy reading some super poetry!

This week's trip to the Peterborough library has provided the perfect stimulus for our recounts topic in Literacy. Over to you Maryam and Hadia:

It was a cloudy summers afternoon. Wolves class went to the Peterborough central library.

FIrst, we came in from a lovely dinner and quickly answered the register. It looked like it was going to rain heavily. Some of the children didn't have a coat so we wore BCA jackets to represent Bishop Creighton Academy.

Next, we had a long walk to the cental library. We walked into the library sensibly and quietly because lots of people were trying to concentrate on their books.

Then, we got split into four groups and read poetry books to ourselves and eachother. We all really enjoyed reading the poetry and are looking forward to writing our own!
