Making Eqyption bread

Today we Enjoyed learning how to make Egyptian bread.
Today Year 4 learnt how to make Egyptian bread. All you need to do is follow these instructions and you can make your own at home.
Egyptian Wholemeal Bread
This is basic unleavened bread, still used in Egypt today. (NB adding honey to the dough as you mix it gives it a sweet Egyptian taste).
Ingredients (Makes about 10 rolls)
460g of plain wholemeal flour
½ teaspoon salt
300mls of warm water
Cumin seeds
Method
  1. Put salt and flour into a large bowl
  2. Add warm water and mix with hands to make a ball of dough
  3. Sprinkle flour on a worktop.  Knead the dough well by folding it over and pressing down on it
  4. Divide the dough into 10 pieces.  Shape each piece e.g. into a circle, triangle, square, oval, or shape of an animal etc.
  5. Make indentations on buns with fingers and/or sprinkle with cumin seeds
  6. Place buns on a greased baking tray and leave in a warm place for about 15 mins
  7. Heat oven to (Gas 4, 350ºF, 180ºC) and bake for 30 minutes
Eating
The Egyptians ate with their fingers. They filled the indentations they made on the buns with beans or honey or soft-boiled eggs.
What else could the bread be filled with?

"The flour felt really strange in my hands!" explained Goda.
"I can't wait to cook it at home," Eshan said excitedly.
