A group of pupils from Year 5/6 spent an exciting morning at Peterborough Cathedral taking part in a photo shoot in preparation for the opening of the new Education Centre! After a series of photo’s and meeting with a variety of staff from the cathedral we were treated to a sneak preview of what the new education team will have to offer! Our pupils will feature in a brochure promoting the centre. Year 5/6 were brilliant ambassadors for our academy. Click here to view more photos!

“I really enjoyed visiting the cathedral, because I learnt new things I didn’t know before. I feel proud to be representing both the cathedral and our academy. The most enjoyable part was being the first children to go inside the new visitors centre. We took part in n art activity, making crosses out of clay” Haytham

“I really enjoyed posing for the photographer. It was great fun! Later we did some art in the new art room. Kaamillah, Harris , Samuel and I experienced writing with quills.” Maja

“I liked going to the cathedral because I learnt new things (about monk and abbots and the Tudors). My favourite part was using quills and inks to write/draw whatever you wanted. Some children used the cathedral as inspiration to create clay crosses and stained glass windows. I also liked pretending to be a minion for the Bishop (Eliza) she wore the Bishops robes and had to put a very serious face on! (really a funny dull face!!) Kaamillah
